1930s Art Deco 'Silvoz Paris' Sunburst Brass Wall Clock

1930s Art Deco French Parisian brass sunburst wall clock manufactured by Cartel Silvoz Paris. The clock is made of brass-plated steel formed into an interesting sunburst design with a series of angled-triangular sun rays of varying sizes which burst from around the clock.

The green and gold painted clock face features Roman numerals at each quarter of an hour with delicate black metal hands for the hour and minute.  The clock is battery operated requiring a single AA Battery and is in full working order.  The cardboard backing is removable via three screws to access the battery.  It may have had all the original internal workings removed in the past as there is a hole in the clock face which has been blocked where the key to wind it up would have gone and there are some scratches which the key would have caused when it was being wound up.

The clock's dial face is protected by a convex glass door which feature a brass clip to keep it secured and in place.

A very stylish, beautifully designed and well made wall clock.  Some of the brass plate has rubbed off in places and a small section of the green on the dial has rubbed away just by the XII.  Please refer to the images.

The cardboard backing has the following embossed into it:

Cartel, ROSE DES VENTS (Compass), SILVOZ paris
