1970s German Hillebrand Leuchten oval wall mirror with a frosted translucent acrylic frame. The acrylic frame has a stepped design reminiscent of castle turret. The mirror hooks onto a white lacquered oval metal frame which is surrounded by perforated metal to allow the light from the lightbulbs within to shine through.
The lightbulb holders are fitted within the frame and point at different angles to allow the light to fully illuminate it evenly. When lit the whole frame glows and sheds a wonderful warm light through the acrylic and onto the surrounding wall.
The frame and glass mirror are in very good vintage condition with no cracks, scratches or splits.
Six Edison E14 25w screw in lightbulbs are required. The mirror can be either hardwired into the wall or plugged into a socket but the latter is more preferable because it avoids having to see a flex running from the mirror. The wiring has been checked by an electrician. The mirror is in full working order.
Perfect for most rooms of the house perhaps over a mantlepiece, dressing room or a cloakroom to add that little touch of glamour.
