I am listing this wall light (also listed separately under wall lights) as a table lamp because I think it works well as both. Designed by Motoko Ishii for Staff Leuchten during the 1970s in Germany. The hexagonal clear glass shade is coated silver on the bottom half and clips into a corresponding hexagonal chrome plated metal fitting. This also clips into a base plate/wall fitting that's been lacquered black to contrast against the silver shade. The shade unclips from the base easily for cleaning purposes and to change the lightbulb.
The light holds a single E14 screw in pygmy lightbulb (25 watt max)in the centre which reflects off the numerous angles and silver surfaces to cast a wonderful abstract light from the surrounding walls and surfaces.
The lamp is perfect to illuminate a dark shelf, corner or perhaps as a night light.
In very good vintage condition.
