An incredible cast iron French crucifix from the late 19th/early 20th century. Originally it may have been a roadside cross or "croix de chemin". Intricately designed with beautiful ornate detail featuring an icon of Jesus in the centre with the letters INRI above him and an Angel at the bottom of the cross. There are two feet at the bottom which would have been set in stone. The iron has surface corrosion but this adds to the overall charm of the piece.
