Circa 1930s English country house Howard and Sons open arm easy armchair featuring the classic ring turned front legs and exposed wooden feature arm supports. Made of Beech with an Oak Stain. The brass castors on both of the back legs are stamped with the serial number on the inside of one of them. The armchair has been reupholstered in the Howard and Sons ticking fabric. All of the original internal traditional upholstery has been preserved and secured in place by a professional upholsterer using traditional methods.
A wonderful armchair typical of the Howard and Sons style with the low deep seat and turned arm supports. This is a very comfortable armchair and very rare to source.

Age Information: Howard and Sons office estimated the chair being pre-1930s but can’t give an exact date. Records of their serial numbers were lost during WWII. The lady at Howard & Sons also stated that it's definitely pre-1930s as it’s one of the older more collectible models. The upholsterer stated that the inside was ancient and dates it to around 1910. I am selling this amazing chair on behalf of my upholsterer.
