Large 1970s heavily textured exterior glass pitcher or jug, with an "ice" or "bark-like" textured finish with a smooth interior and handle. This style is characteristic of vintage mid-century modern glassware. with a smooth interior.
Similar in design to the "Hopla" series by Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala in Finland, or the "Polar Ice" range by Frank Thrower for Dartington Crystal, which were also popular in the 1970s. However, this jug isn't marked and does not retain its original manufacturer's label. I therefore haven't been able to source who the designer or manufacturer is for certain.
These pitchers are designed for serving beverages, with a large cylindrical body and a pouring lip. In very good vintage condition.
