A wonderful pair of French late eighteenth century patinated armchairs from the Directoire period. Newly upholstered, the chairs have elegant lozenge and acanthus leaf shaped carvings where the armrests meet the seating.
The curved armrests have carved daisies at the ends and both the back and seats are tapered. The bottoms of the legs have carved leaf designs.
